Why Jacob
Jacob is no polished saint. He is a schemer and an opportunist, a favored son who lied his way into a blessing and then ran for his life. If you have ever felt that your failures have disqualified you, or that you carry too much unfinished business for God to genuinely use you, his story is for you. God chose him — not because he had his life in order, but because that is the kind of God we are dealing with.
This is not a highlight reel. It is twenty-one days through the whole arc, from Genesis 25 to 35, drawing one honest lesson from each stage: grasping for what is not yours, being met by God on the run, tasting the other side of a lie, and at last wrestling God until He changes who you are. You read the passage, sit with the reflection, and carry it into an ordinary adult week.
