A Devo10 series · 21 days · go at your own pace

It was not
your fault.

Gentle, trauma-informed care for survivors of abuse and assault, held in the truth that what happened was never your fault.

A short reflection, a verse, words worth reading slowly, and a place to be honest that nobody else can see. No blame, no pressure, no rushing. You can read as slowly as you need, skip a day, or stop when it is too much. You are in control of the pace. The first week is free.

The shape of the 21 days 3 weeks

Three weeks, one gentle day at a time. Week one is free, all seven days. It opens one morning at a time, so it never piles up on you, and you can always go at your own pace.

If this is you

You survived something that never should have happened to you.

Maybe you have carried it mostly alone. Maybe you have been told, or told yourself, that it was somehow your fault. Maybe the word for God has been complicated ever since, especially if the person who hurt you was someone who should have protected you. Maybe you live with the aftermath every day, the fear, the memories, the sense of being damaged or not really safe anywhere.

This is a gentle place, written with care. Its first and loudest word is the one you most need to hear, and it will keep saying it: it was not your fault. The shame belongs to the one who hurt you, not to you. God saw, God grieves what was done, and God is fiercely on your side. This walks beside you slowly, at your pace, toward the truth that you are not what was done to you, and that healing and hope are real.

One day, at your pace

What's inside each day.

A short reflection. Gentle, unhurried, never graphic, never blaming.

A verse chosen with care for the day, in plain ESV.

Words worth reading slowly, that you can stop anytime.

A prayer for the moments you don't have your own words.

Space to write that only you will ever see.

Start when you're ready

The first week is free.

Seven days, one at a time, no card required. Only when you are ready, and only at the pace that is right for you. If it helps, the rest of the journey is here. If it doesn't, you have lost nothing.

When you need more

A devotional walks beside you. A person sits with you.

These pages can offer the comfort and truth of Scripture. They cannot do what a trauma-informed therapist or a caring person can do, and healing from abuse deserves that kind of support. When you need more, Tend is real pastoral care from real people who will listen gently, without pressure, and walk with you. You were never meant to carry this alone.
