Why the Psalms
Many of us quietly believe we must compose ourselves before we come to God, muting the doubt, swallowing the anger, arriving as though we were fine. The Psalms dismantle that assumption. They are full of people crying out 'how long?', weeping, confessing, and then breaking into praise, and God saw fit to place every one of those prayers in His book. Honesty is not the enemy of worship here; it is the doorway into it.
Over twenty-one days we walk through representative psalms across the whole range of the human heart: honest praise, raw lament, quiet trust, real confession, and overflowing thanks. You learn to pray your actual life, not a polished version of it, to a God who hears all of it and never turns an honest heart away. This is the ancient school of prayer, and it still forms mature souls.
