Why Solomon
God offered a young king anything he desired, and Solomon asked for an understanding heart to lead God's people well. It was exactly the right prayer, and God answered it beyond all measure with wisdom, riches, honor, and a peace the nation had never known. For a time, Solomon shows us what it looks like when a person gives God the first and best of their life.
But this is not a highlight reel. It is twenty-one days walking his whole story in order, through 1 Kings 1 through 11 and his own reflections in Proverbs and Ecclesiastes, drawing one honest lesson from each turn: asking for the right thing, building a life for God's glory, and the sobering reality that the wisest man alive still allowed his heart to wander.
