For the first delicate days
The first days after finding out can be the hardest of all. Your mind races. Fear rises. You may feel ashamed, or pressured, or unsure how you will ever get through this. It is a tender, delicate time. So this first week comes close and gentle, with the one thing you need most right now: hope. It reminds you that you are not alone, that there is a future, that the little life within you is fearfully and wonderfully made, and that the God who saw Hagar alone in the wilderness sees you too, right where you are.
After that first week, the journey widens out and simply walks with you. We turn to your own worth, that you matter to God, that you are precious, honored, and loved, near to Him when your heart is broken. We face the fears honestly and find that His grace is enough, that He provides, that He gives strength for each day. We lay down shame and receive grace in its place, we let others help carry the load, and we lift our eyes to the hope and the future God holds for you and your baby. This book will never shame you or pressure you. It is here to encourage you, in every way it can, and to remind you that your life matters, and so does the little life you carry.
